QUESTION:
My cousin has recently had a baby what advice would you give to new mum’s to keep their relationships strong after having children?
Patty Says:
Allow, Allow, Allow! When you allow yourself to get ‘back to normal’, it’s sets up your own personal boundaries. Women can be so hard on themselves, expecting that life just bouncing back after giving birth to a 10pound heavyweight, that you’ve carried for 40 weeks, then you have a new life to nurture & care for, plus any existing children, their partner and MOST importantly SELF!! Take one step at a time and in this order:
- SELF; mediate, nourishing food & rest, housework can wait!
- PARTNER – together massage, sensual touch, baths, time with the newborn together & get connected as a couple
- AMILY – Assign family time; Perhaps one day per fortnight is doable.
Many may feel differently, once you are strong you can give and receive love from your lover, united love is required for your family.
Love & abundance baby!!
